Toddler Hears Parents’ Voices for the First Time

This little boy is fitted with hearing aids for the first time and experiences the joy of hearing his parents’ loving words.

Bethany Rodgers brought her son to an appointment at the Children’s Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. It was the first set of hearing aids he had received and it was the first time he could hear. The video, was originally recorded in 2015 Rodgers released it on July 28, the video shows little Jay overwhelmed by the sound around him. You can hear his parents talking to him and Jay looking with eyes wide open in awe.

Without the hearing aids, Jay has no hearing in his left ear and can only make out deep sounds from his right ear.
