Nicole Kidman Hospitalized After Pushing Through Severe Flu Symptoms

Nicole Kidman was taken to the hospital after her first day filming the Apple TV+ series “Margo’s Got Money Troubles,” after pushing through what was described as a severe case of the flu.
Entertainment Weekly reported that Kidman was filming a demanding scene for the show when she became seriously ill. Her co-star Nick Offerman said she showed up looking pale and shaken, but still finished the work needed that day before getting IV treatment at the hospital.
InStyle mentioned that the scene involved hundreds of extras, which made the filming day harder to replace. That likely added to the pressure. In the reports Offerman praised Kidman for making sure the production got every shot it needed before she was taken for treatment.
The series stars Elle Fanning and also features Kidman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nick Offerman, Greg Kinnear, Thaddea Graham, and Michael Angarano.
Who is Nicole Kidman?

Nicole Kidman is one of the most recognized actresses of her generation. Flu is not just a bad cold
According to the Mayo Clinic, the flu usually comes on suddenly and tends to make people feel much worse than a cold. A cold often builds slowly, while flu symptoms can hit fast and hard.
The Cleveland Clinic states that influenza is a respiratory illness caused by the influenza virus. It can bring fever, body aches, headache, cough, and a runny or stuffy nose. Some people recover at home, but flu can become serious, especially for older adults or people with health conditions.
Flu symptoms to take seriously

Common flu symptoms can include fever, cough, headache, muscle aches, chills, sweating, sore throat, tiredness, and weakness. Some people may also have a runny or stuffy nose.
However, more serious symptoms can include vomiting and diarrhea. Despite these symptoms most commonly occurring in children, they are worth watching out for because they cause your body to lose fluids that need to be replaced.
The Mayo Clinic says people should call a healthcare professional if they think they have the flu and are at higher risk for serious illness or complications. That includes older adults and people with certain medical conditions.
The Cleveland Clinic lists warning signs that need medical attention, including trouble breathing, chest or stomach pain or pressure, confusion, persistent dizziness, severe weakness, not urinating much, seizures, bluish lips or nails, or a fever over 103 degrees Fahrenheit.
Most flu cases don’t end with a hospital visit. But Kidman’s situation is a reminder that pushing through can come with a cost. When your body tells you to stop, it’s wise to listen.
