The Vistive Soybean, brought to you by Monsanto

After re-reading about KFC Canada's move to eliminate trans fats, I wondered what would be used as a replacement for trans fats...

It should be as no surprise that Monsanto would have the solution with oils derived from their genetically modified Vistive soybean. Monsanto is well known for its forays into frankenfoods, and is the world's largest producer of the herbacide glyphosate, sold under the brand name Roundup. Other well-known products produced by Monsanto include saccharin and Agent Orange. So it's no wonder some are already concerned about the Vistive soybean.

Some activists refer to Monsanto as Monsatan. They've been accused of trying to own the world's food supply. But really my point here is: Is the devil you know better than the devil you don't know? Because I don't know, and we probably won't know for some time...
